The drilling template is used when making a right angled corner joint between timber panels. The edge face of one panel is butted to the major face edge zone of a second panel to make the joint. A relatively large blind circular hole in the major internal face of the first panel locates a cam fitting, a blind hole in the edge of the second panel locates a ferrule, and a radial bore locates a bolt which extends between the cam and the ferrule. The template is cruciform with the bar (2) mounted beneath the post (1), using a downstand (6, 7) to engage the cam-hole while the bar fits between the conjunctive panels laid flat. Barrels (8, 3) guide the bit during drilling of the ferrule and bolt holes respectively.
|
