PURPOSE:To preferably connect a conductor to a commutator pawl and to simplify a winding work for an armature by providing means for winding the conductor while turning it and means for engaging the conductor under the guidance with the commutator pawl in a device for winding the conductor directly on a core. CONSTITUTION:An armature 1 in which a core 3 and a commutator 4 are engaged with a shaft is held by holding means A. After a conductor 5a is clamped by winding start end treating means G, the conductor 5a is wound in the predetermined slot in the predetermined number of turns while turning the conductor 5a by winding means B provided at the side of the armature 1. Subsequently, guiding means C provided at the periphery of the commutator 4 is operated to engage the conductor 5a with the commutator pawl 4a. These winding and engaging steps are repeated to wind the coil on the entire periphery of the armature 1, the end of the conductor 5a is clamped by clamping means D, and the conductor 5a is further cut and treated by cutting and treating means E in the vicinity of the commutator pawl. |
