A damping member for damping the pivoting movements of a handling device about a pivoting centre, the handling device being suspended pivotably on a manoeuvring arm. The damping member comprises, according to the invention, a stand 4, which is mounted pivotably on the handling device by means of a horizontal journal 3, forming a pivoting centre 3a for the handling device for pivoting in a vertical plane, and at least one and preferably two shock absorbers 12, 13, each of which are secured with one end to the stand 4 above and at a distance from said pivoting centre 3a and connected at the other end directly or indirectly to the handling device, laterally and at a distance from said pivoting centre or a vertical plane through this, by means of a journal 24, 25 which is parallel to said pivoting centre, the shock absorbers 12, 13 thereby being capable of damping the pivoting movements of the handling device about said pivoting centre 3a. <IMAGE> |
