PURPOSE:To render a negative image and a positive image changeable from each other in an electrostatic recording apparatus for irradiating an ion current controlled with a control electrode to a dielectric drum to form an electrostatic image, by reversing an image signal to be applied to the control electrode. CONSTITUTION:An original M is scanned and read out with CCD5, and the image signal subjected to enlargement processing, etc. in a signal circuit 7 is applied to a control electrode 9 of an ion current via an electrode control circuit 8. Ions radiated from an ion source 10 are modulated with the control electrode 9 to form an electrostatic image on a dielectric drum 11. If the image signal is reversed with an image signal reversing circuit 15, the electrostatic image is reversed to a positive or negative image. |
