Anti-aircraft target tracking system for tank - employs TV cameras and servo loops with weapon firing correction for weapon turret positioning

The target tracking system uses servo-loops for position and speed determination to allow corrections to be applied for firing of the weapon. The error angle w.r.t. a neutral position of a cross bar in a directional servo-loop is controlled and detected by a unit which sends a signal to a summer. The combined signal from a directional loop circuit and a distance detector are applied via the summer to the turret drive motor to control the directional movement in azimuth. The directional loop output is also processed for application to a control loop in which a motor positions the sight. The target images are produced on a screen using a TV camera.
