The extruder for concrete has a horizontal cylindrical casing (2) with a conveying screw (2) inside, with its spindle (1) rotated by a drive at one end. Moist material fed into a hopper (5) at this end is advanced by the screw towards the other end, where it is forced outwards through a curved outlet (6) in the form of a volute. At least a portion of the annular space (4) between the spindle and the casing can be funnel shaped. The outlet can incorporate guide blades which form a continuation of the front of the spindle, and tangential to it. The shape of the screw itself is specified to ensure a smooth flow.
