The frame fixes a column on the ground by fixing screws, or bolts. It has a crosspiece (4), the centre of which passes through the column base and both ends (12,13) of which are fixed on the ground. On one crosspiece side are two arms (5,6) fixed to the column base, their free ends pressing on the ground. Each end of the crosspiece is arranged to turn freely on its longitudinal axis in a bearing fixed firmly to the ground. The crosspiece is a flat bar with torsional flexibility and with resistance to vertical bending.
