PURPOSE:To enable automatic exchange of numerous tools by arranging means of conveying tools between tool racks provided adjacent to a tool magazine. CONSTITUTION:When tools are required in the number larger than the housing capacity of a tool magazine 4 with a command of an NC equipment, those once housed in the magazine 4 released from the working are indexed to the tool exchange position 9. Then, a manipulator 8 for changing tools picks up tools at the position 9 and carrys to tool racks 5 and 6. Then, necessary tools are withdrawn from the racks 5 and 6 and fed to the tool magazine 4. |
