PURPOSE:To simplify the structure and eliminate the maintenance work by supporting an arm with an elastic member which is attached to a support and has the elasticity only in the rotating direction. CONSTITUTION:A single-sheet plate spring 12 is fixed to a support 11 erected at the fixing part of the disk seal-up part and along the width direction of the support. An arm 10 is attached to the tip of the spring 12 via an attachment member 13, and a magnetic head 6 is attached to the tip of the arm 10 via a head support plate 14. Furthermore the driving member necessary as an actuator such as a voice coil or the like that constitutes a voice coil motor is added. A coil spring, a combination spring or the like are used in place of the plate spring 12, and also a bimetal which gives an actuator function to the plate spring itself is used. In such way, the backlash or friction is eliminated, and then a use of lubricant and the maintenance work is excluded. |
