<p>The system ties a horizontal cylindrical coil of material, typically by means of a steel strap placed round the coil as it is transported in a chain conveyor. The coil surface supported by the conveyor is at floor level. The coil is transported above two strap guides (10,11), moving them by its weight from the rest position to the tying one near the coil (1). In the latter position the strap (23) is inserted at hand height above the floor in one of the guides, passed through both below the coil, and out at the further end, again at hand height. On removal of the coil weight the guides drop back into the rest position.</p> |
