<p>The invention is concerned with the re-insulation of a bared junction or branch point, i.e. one which has been bared of insulating material for the purpose of making a connection (e.g. a soldered or brazed connection), of heat- insulated conduit pipes (e.g. for domestic installation), in particular foam- insulated seamless copper pipes. According to the invention, a shrink-on component (6) which is of plastics material is used to cover the junction or branch point, the shrink-on component (6) extending to the nearer end portions of the insulating material (4, 5) not removed from the pipes (1, 2, 2a). <IMAGE></p> |
