PURPOSE:To allow also a copying machine or the like for copying an original while carrying it to adjust toner density by forming a sensor pattern for every 5-10 copies during the projection of the original to the surface of a drum through a lens and adjusting the toner density. CONSTITUTION:When an original turns on a sensor 14, the cleaned drum 1 is reached to a 2nd electrostatic charging charger 12 and only sensor pattern width is charged by a high-voltage power supply. A latent image charged by said procedure is reached to a developing part 6, and when a bias is impressed to the latent image, a toner image is formed on the surface of the drum 1. The formed toner image is reached to an image density sensor 21, the pattern density is detected and compared with a previously set value and the operation of a toner feeding clutch 22 is determined. Such kind of a pattern is formed for every 5-10 copies and its toner density is detected to control the variation of image density. |
