The cooling system is for a trepanning drill bit having a cylindrical tubular shank, to the interior of which a coolant passage is connected. The shank (1) is enclosed by an annular pipe (2) for the coolant, and which slides on it in the axial direction. Sealing lips (3,4) can be provided on this pipe, bearing one against the surface (5) to be machined, and the other against the shank, and it can be connected to a pipe (11) supplying the coolant under pressure, while the interior of the shank can be connected to a suction pipe (9), the vacuum in the latter being higher than the pressure in the supply pipe. |
