The slurry tank or mud tank is connected to the suction duct of a blower, and has a flexible suction duct with an end suction pipe socket opening out into it. It is used for cleaning sewers and trenches. The pipe socket is fitted with one or more lateral entry apertures arranged in the axial direction, releasable from bottom to top by an adjustable blocking device. This may be operable from the surface of the ground, and is pref. guided so as to be adjustable for height, with a staged retention provided by a notching device. It can be a spring-stressed piston.
