<p>The method for picking up and representing thermographic images of biological or technical structures, allows the sensing of abnormal temperature repartitions even when they are very low or when the corresponding areas differ very slightly as to their temperature values with respect to adjacent temperature values. According to this method, the temperature values for each image point of a thermogram are digitally picked up and recorded and the pitch of the local temperature variation is calculated, that is to say the temperature gradient for each image point in relation to its temperature and to the temperature value measured for the point adjacent thereto. For a selected image area, the local repartition of temperature gradients is represented. Abnormal temperature repartitions may thus by sensed, from such representation, where important temperature gradients exist. </p> |
