PURPOSE:To make a coating work exactly and stably and to manufacture s covered welding rod having high quality under the high productivity, by adopting a semiclosed circuit as a hydraulic circuit in a coating equipment of a covered welding rod. CONSTITUTION:A core wire 27 of the welding rod, which is fed through a core wire guide 26 is coated with a flux contained in a cylinder 23 by displacing with a piston rod 22, by a coating die-head 24 and a coating die 25 which are provided on the tip of the flux cylinder 23. Both end ports of a hydraulic cylinder 21 for operating the piston rod 22 are connected to both end ports of a variable capacity type hydraulic pump 30 by pipes 28, 29, also a relief valve 31 for oil quantity adjustment and a nonreturn valve 32 are provided in the pipe 28, they are further connected to a hydraulic tank 33 having a small capacity, and a hydraulic circuit is constituted of a semiclosed type as a whole. Since operation of the hydraulic cylinder 21 can be directly controlled by the variable capacity type hydraulic pump 30, a flux can be displaced exactly and stably. |
