The target location system uses the ic engine exhaust gases detected by an electromagnetic radiation sensor, responsive to the emission and/or absorption of electromagnetic radiation by the gas cloud resulting from the heated exhaust gases. Pref. the sensor responds to the emission and/or absorption of electromagnetic radiation in the IR or microwave range by the CO gas contained in the engine exhaust. Pref. the absorption and/or emission of radiation with a wavelength of 4.66 micro m is detected by the sensor. USE - For detection of military target.
