PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of readily loading a printing paper, readily removing the paper when it is jammed, performing the printing with high quality and having high freedom of designing. SOLUTION: A gear 23 to which a driving force from a motor 20 is transmitted is provided to a body 18 and a printing paper holder 2, a platen roller 3, a helical gear 28 fixed to the platen roller 3 and helical gears 29, 24 that are sequentially engaged with the gear 28 are provided to a door 19. The door 19 is mounted on the body rotatably around an axis 30. Each of arms 25, 26 is rotatable around each center of the respective gears 23, 24 and is rotatable around a center of a gear 27. The gears 23, 27, 24 are orderly engaged with each other. Each of the arms 25, 26 are rotatable so that the door 19 can be open and closed without releasing the engagement of the gears 23, 27, 24. When the door 19 is opened, the printing paper holder 2 and platen roller 3 are exposed. |
