A pastry cutter, on the conventional principle of sharp edges projecting from a surface, consists of a polyhedron, typically a cube or hexagonal block, with one or more pastry cutting patterns (4, 4', 3, 3', etc.) on each of its surfaces. The fig. shows a block of hexagonal section in perspective.
