<p>The instrument comprises a transfer path for passing reaction cases (22) containing the specimens to be analyzed, a reagent storage section (30) having a multiplicity of reagent cases (31,31 min ) arranged in series, a reagent distributor (36,37) for selecting a reagent case corresponding to the analysis item subjected to reaction in the reaction case and for absorbing the reagent from the reagent case and supplying the same to the reaction case, and a reagent absorbing-discharging section (38,39) mounted on the reagent distributor and adapted to reciprocate betvieen a predetermined position on the transfer path and the reagent storage section along the series arranged reagent cases (31,31 min ). In this way, the bulkiness and complexity of providing separate reagent supply means for each reagent are avoided. The arrangement lends itself well to computer control.</p> |
