PURPOSE:To utilize a groove as a guide in order to prevent deflections, deviations, etc., of a rod wire blank to be worked just before feeding it into rolling rolls, by bringing the rod wire blank into close contact with a rolling or a forming groove of a roll over a prescribed range in the circumference of this roll. CONSTITUTION:A guide roll 13 is installed behind a couple of upper and lower forming rolls 8, 8'; is rod wire blank 11 is brought into close contact with a forming groove 9 installed along the circumference of the upper forming roll 8 through a guide roll 13 over a range of 1/4-3/4 circumference of the roll 8; under this condition, the rod wire blank 11 is fed into the forming grooves 9, 9' of the forming rolls 8, 8'. Next, the rod wire blank 11 is subjected to a roll-forming work, and a deformed rod wire, to be used for a base material 3 of an electrical junction material, is obtained with a section shape which has longitudinal flanges 1 on both sides in the lower part and a longitudinal projection 2 in the middle of the bottom surface. |
