<p>The method comprises projecting on the sole of the extruded joint a first primer comprising a silicone fluid and then a second primer comprising a vinyl adhesive and covering the assembly with a protective film internally coated with a conventional adhesive whose adhesive power is less than that of the primers on the sole. An alternative method comprises applying on the joint sole a sheet of paper of which one surface only is siliconised and adheres directly to the sole, the other surface being impregnated with a conventional adhesive and then protected with a second sheet of paper rendered less adhesive to the sole than the first sheet. The joint is for sealing around windows and doors. It can be applied without requiring any special skill, being self adhesive.</p> |
