PURPOSE:To improve the resistance against heat generation of a tire by forming a tread in a multilayer structure including a base rubber and a cap rubber and imparting these rubbers with a specified loss resiliency ratio and loss compliance ratio. CONSTITUTION:The tread 5 comprises a base tread rubber B as a base and a cap tread rubber A as a treading surface. The loss resiliency E of the base rubber B is within a range from 20% to 50% of the loss resiliency E'' of the cap rubber A, whereas the loss compliance [E''/(E')<2>] is set below 60% of that of the cap rubber A. Even when a compounded rubber developed for reducing the heat generation is used as the base rubber B, it does not appear on the surface until it is reduced by friction up to a frictional reduction limit I. Accordingly, the resistance against the heat generation of the tire can be much improved without degrading the wet-skid characteristic. |
