<p>The printing press ink-metering mechanism is particularly for an offset machine, having printing units each comprising an inking unit and a number of cylinders. On one or more cylinders, against which the work bears with a printed surface towards the outside, is a densitometer measuring the ink thickness at test areas on the work. This is connected to a regulator mechanism to which the desired thickness value is fed, the regulator mechanism emitting an appropriate signal to an adjustment on the inking mechanism.</p> |
