MANUFACTURE AND MANUFACTURING DEVICE FOR COLOR PICTURE TUBE

PURPOSE:To quicken the convergence into the predetermined magnetization by magnetizing a permanent magnetizable magnet structure provided on the inside or outside of neck under such condition where the bias field is provided by a convergence and color purity regulator for producing the static field. CONSTITUTION:A magnetizable permanent magnet structure 11 is provided on the tip of an electron gun 6 mounted in the neck section 5 of a color picture tube while surrounding the electron beam. Furthermore a convergence/color purity regulator 12 and an auxiliary regulator 13 are provided in the position of the permanent magnet structure 11 on the outside of the neck section 5. At first the permanent magnet structure 11 is saturated by the regulator 12 then it is demagnetized to adjust the three electron beams to an interval DELTAx not convergable due to the cause such as the accuracy in the detection system. Then the interval is adjusted by the auxiliary regulator 13 to x+DELTAx, thereafter it is further demagnetized by DELTAx by the regulator 12 and the auxiliary regulator 13 is removed. Consequently it is quickly converged to the optimal amount of magnetization.
