The pressure cylinder for vehicle brake systems in connection with a servo unit consists of a primary and a quick-fill cylinder placed one behind the other. The bore for the quick-fill cylinder is greater in dia. than that of the primary cylinder and has a piston which is hollow and annular, with cylinderical inner and outer walls connected together at one end. The outer wall moves in a space round the primary cylinder so that fluid is displaced from the space. This enables the length of the cylinder unit to be reduced to 91 mm, saving space in the vehicle engine compartment.
