PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture processor in which a still picture and a dynamic image are freely displayed by on screen display. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a picture memory 4, which has a first region that stores first picture data for background and a second region that stores second picture data for on screen display, a display buffer memory 6, which stores the first and second picture data read from the memory 4 in a style to be displayed on a display screen and a control section 5 which is a control section to control accesses to the memories 4 and 6 and reads the first picture data from the first region of the picture memory, writes the data in the display buffer memory, reads the second picture data from the second region of the picture memory and writes the data into the specified region of the display buffer memory. |
