The arrangement for measurement of production capacity is designed to interact with production equipment, such as machine tools, for tracking of the production capacity, for calculation of productivity time, for calculation of job bonuses, in the form of a piece counter, in the form of an information terminal for production computer (planing functions) for registering of peak machine times, for work training, etc. The arrangement contains an apparatus unit (figure 1) with monitor 100 and a programming and operating unit 102 and a time register 4 designed to be pre-programmed in accordance with the operation time T for a particular work component with or without extra time. The register counts down to zero at the start of each work component start-up for the production equipment. A second time register 8 is arranged to register the accumulated operation time xT during a particular time period and a third register 9 is arranged to register the total operation time xE consumed in the particular job order being done in the equipment, and it is reset at zero after each completed job order.
