PURPOSE:To obtain the optical recording medium of high sensitivity in which an information is written by laser beams by forming an information recording layer through simultaneous evaporation of molecules of copper phthalocyanine and atoms of tellurium. CONSTITUTION:A composite film 11 wherein the atoms of tellurium and the molecules of copper phthalocyanine are mixed is formed on a transparent substrate 10, whereby the optical recording medium is formed. That is, while a glass substrate 12 set in a vacuum evaporator 13 having the vacuum of about 10<-4>-10<-5> Pa is rotated, the copper phthalocyanine in a box-shaped boat 14 and the tellurium in a boat 15 are evaporated simultaneously on the substrate 12 and thereby the optical recording medium is formed (a numeral 16 is a shielding plate for preventing evaporation of large particles, 17 is a partition plate for preventing mixture of the copper phthalocyanine with tellurium and 18 and 19 are a shutter and a mask for obtaining a desired quantity of evaporation, respectively). In addition, it is preferable that the information recording layer is composed of tellurium of 100-800Angstrom and of copper phthalocyanine of 100-5,000Angstrom when they are converted as elements. |
