<p>A nozzle mounting (10) for the stripper nozzle (25) employed for cleaning the filter media of rotary drum (12) filters. The improved mounting (10) is formed by a stripper duct (22) having a stationary portion (24) and a traversing portion (23) telescoping with respect to said stationary portion (24), and mounted adjacent the drum filter (12) along a line parallel to the axis of the drum filter (12). The traversing portion (23) of the duct (22) is coupled to and supports a plurality of equally spaced nozzles (25), and this traversing duct portion (23) is mounted for reciprocation a distance equal to the spacing between the nozzles (25) so that upon reciprocation of the traversing duct portion (23), each nozzle (25) will be moved across the media surface rotating with the drum (12) to strip waste therefrom, so that all areas of the media will be cleaned. </p> |
