PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and economical sampling method capable of accurately grasping the density of insitu ground, in a sandy ground. SOLUTION: In a method in which a double tube standard penetration tester is intruded to penetrate an insitu ground to take a sample earth and measure the density of the ground, the density (ρds) of earth taken from the second tube, the third tube from the tip side of the tester, or both hollow tubes is regarded as the representative density of the in situ ground.
