The flexible outer and inner linings which make up the vest or jacket form a cavity containing a cooling agent which comprises two substances (6,8) which create an endothermic reaction with each other and which are stored in cooling pockets (4) attached to the inner lining (3) and divided into outer pockets (5) filled with sodium chloride (6) and inner pockets (7) filled with water. The fastening of the pockets (4) to the inner lining (3) is broken at a point (10) which serves as the guide for the ripcords (11) which pass over the shoulders with their ends (12) leaving the jacket at the front and back where they can easily be seized by their handles (13). The rip cords have an additional length (16) in the shoulder area and on pulling the handles (13) the inner pockets are ripped open so that the water (8) mixes with the sodium chloride (6) ensuring subsequent cooling of the body. |
