Iminobenzyl dihydropyridines of the formula <IMAGE> wherein, each R is alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, aralkyl, sulfonamido, halogen, alkoxy, alkenyloxy, alkynyloxy, cyano, hydroxy, acyloxy, nitro, amino, alkylmercapto, alkylamino, alkanoylamino, carbalkoxyamino, carboxy, methanesulfonyl, carbalkoxy or trifluoromethyl; each R4 is lower alkoxy; each R2 is lower alkyl; and R3 is alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, cycloalkyl, heterocyclic or <IMAGE> wherein R is as previously defined; have anti-hypertensive activity.
