PURPOSE:To facilitate reclamping operation of stop cover required after the operation of the heater by providing a through hole for inserting a screw driver on a part of the heater wrapping around the artridge type cross head. CONSTITUTION:A holder 20 is attached to the main body 14 of an extruder with a resin outlet 14a in alignment with a resin inlet 20a. A cartridge type cross head 12 is disposed in a space formed by the semicircular recesses 21 and 23 of the holder 20 and a stop cover 22 and the stop cover 22 is fixed to the holder 20 with bolts 24. The holder 20 and the stop cover 22 thus fastened together are covered with a heater 28 having a through hole 36 for inserting a screw driver therethrough. The heater 28 is fixed at the position with bolts 26. The stop cover is required to be fastened again after the heater is energized to stop the gaps formed at the interface between the holder 20 and the cross head 12 resulting from the thermal deformation of the members and causing resin leakage. The stop cover can easily be refastened without removing the heater 28 by inserting a screw driver through the through holes 36 and by tightening the bolts 24. |
