PURPOSE:To airtightly seal the injection hole of an element with high work efficiency by forming a preliminary layer with high adhesion to solder around the injection hole and melt-bonding a metallic piece coated with solder to the layer. CONSTITUTION:Silver paste is printed on an exterior peripheral part of electrolyte injection hole 21 of glass substrate 20 of an electrochromic (EC) element, and it is calcined to form preliminary layer 22. After injecting an electrolyte into the element, metallic piece 24 coated with solder 23 preferably contg. about 0.5-2.5wt% silver is mounted on layer 22 and heated to seal injection hole 21 by soldering. |
