摘要 PURPOSE:To perform the removal of solubilized iron and the regeneration of a cationic exchange resin by a method in which a solution of a hydrogen sulfite and a sulfite or an alkali with a hydrogen sulfite in water is regulated its pH to 5.5-7 and then brought into contact with the cationic exchange resin. CONSTITUTION:A solution of a hydrogen sulfite and a sulfite or an alkali with a hydrogen sulfite in water is regulated its pH to 5.5-7 to obtain a reducing agent solution, and the reducing agent solution is put through an inlet pipe 6 and a distributing and collecting pipe 5 into a drain filter 1. At the same time, water corresponding to the amount of the charged reducing agent solution is discharged from the drain filter through a liquid drain pipe 10 to replace water in the drain filter 1 by the reducing agent solution. Then, air is let in the drain filter 1 through an air inlet pipe 9 to sufficiently agitate and mix the reducing agent solution and the cationic exchange resin 2, and then the supply of air is stopped for allowing them to stand. These operations are repeated several times in such a way as to sufficiently make the reducing agent solution contact with the cationic exchange resin 2.
