The thread guide comprises a guide piece (1) produced in the form of a right-cylindrical tube made from ceramic and with a substantially constant external diameter, a magnet support (5) driven onto the guide piece (1), a permanent magnet (6) bonded onto the lower face of this support, a ball bearing (7), the inner race (8) of which is pinched between a washer (10) made from non-magnetic material bearing on the upper face of the magnet support (5) and a cover (11) driven onto the guide piece (1), and a casing (13) fixed by rivetting to the outer race (9) of the bearing. The casing has, on its periphery, a circular groove (16) receiving the two branches of a clip (17) which constitutes the support element of the thread guide. <IMAGE>
