Thermostat controlled central heating radiator valve - uses expansion of gas or fluid in cylinder with heating element actuated by time clock

The valve incorporates a thermostat element of a material which exhibits thermal expansion with a heating element (15) positioned in the vicinity of the thermostat element. The terminal leads (16,17) of the heating element (15) are fed to an external socket plug. The thermostat element has a cylinder (11) filled with an expansi expansible gas or liquid and with a piston (12) having a piston rod (13) extending coaxial to the valve rod, with an intermediate mechanical buffer (14) for when the temp. rises above the thermostat setting when the radiator valve is already closed. The heating element (15) is supplied with current wider control of a time clock during night-time operation, to simulate a raised room temp for closure of the radiator valve.
