PROCESS FOR PRODUCING A RAISED EMBOSSED EFFECT A process for producing a raised embossed effect on a substrate comprising contacting the substrate with a pattern roll having depressions therein. The depressions are filled with a coating composition comprising a filler, a binder for the filler, water, and montmorillonite. The coating composition is transferred to the substrate while retaining the shape of the coating composition. Water is then removed from the coating composition.
