A continuous current motor utilises several stators of electromagnets and rotors of permanent magnets. The electromagnets are powered intermittently to provide maximum attractive force and minimum repulsive force. This rotates the rotor using a minimum of power. A continuous current motor comprises several stators and rotors on a shaft. The stators comprise several electromagnets fixed onto a circular disc of non magnetic material. A bearing in the centre permits mounting of this shaft and the stators are held by an exterior housing so that they remain stationary as the shaft rotates. Current is switched to the electromagnets from SCR circuits. The rotor comprise a circular disc of non magnetic material on which are mounted permanent magnets with maximum attraction for the electromagnets.
