PURPOSE:To obtain an emulsion having storage and mechanical stability, and skin affinity, by incorporating an aliphatic acid ester of a trivalent alcohol almost liquid at room temperature and a water-soluble polysaccaride at a specified ratio as a water in oil type emulsifier composition. CONSTITUTION:An aliphatic acid ester of a trivalent alcohol, such as glycerin monoisostearate, liquid or nearly liquid like a paste at room temperature (1pt.wt.) and 2-50pts.wt. galactomannan and/or starch are used as a water in oil type emulsifier composition for use in a cream base or the like. The emulsion prepared using this emulsifier has storage and mechanical stability, and high affinity to a slin, and it gives refreshed feeling after application to the skin. |
