The railing has multiple supports (3, 4, 5) fastened at a motor vehicle roof (1). A hollow tubular railing rod (6) is formed as a cable guide for a conducting cable and/or an antenna cable, where the railing rod is designed as a hollow chamber profile. The railing rod is divided into two chambers, where the larger chamber serves for receiving of fasteners for the supports and the smaller chamber serves as the cable channel.
