The present invention relates to a device for, in particular, handling circular blanks coming, for example, from a finishing machine, comprising a hauling track for conveying the blanks from the machine in the direction of a first sound-damping stop. With known equipment, the handling of such material has hitherto generated noise which often reaches values which are substantially in excess of what can normally be deemed acceptable. This noise problem is solved with the device according to the invention, which allows silent handling, by the fact that it comprises a layer-building part A, which in addition to the said stops 3, 4, comprises a further stop 25, which can be raised and lowered so as to be brought into and out of the hauling track 1 for successive bringing together of a predetermined number of blanks 26 to form a layer, the gripping members 51, 52, 25 being arranged to hold the blanks of the layer thus formed in mutual contact during their transfer to a layer receiver. <IMAGE> |
