PURPOSE:To rapidly and uniformly heat the circumferential surface of a press- contact roller by fixing a preheating element which preheats the press-contact roller to the arms supporting the press-contact roller. CONSTITUTION:A pair of arms 9 pivotally supported at the root parts by fulcrum shafts 8 are provided on the outer side faces of frames 1, and the end parts of a press-contact roller 1 passed through the openings provided to the frames 1 are so supported between these arms 9 as to be freely rotatable. This roller 11 consists of a metal-made roller body made to a hollow cylindrical shape and an elastic material layer laminated on the outside circumferential surface of said roller body. The arms 9 have the habit that they are turned around the shafts 8 by the tension springs 12 extended between them and the frames 1. As a solenoid 13 is energized, the roller 11 is press-contacted with a heating roller 3. A heating element 14 enclosing the lower half of the roller 11 is provided between the arms 9. |
