<p>PURPOSE:To use an electronic translator effectively by recognizing the current state at a glance by providing a means of displaying the native language and foreign language assigned at that time. CONSTITUTION:At display part 2 of the electronic translator, a language display part is arranged and to the display part 2, display driving IC6 which exercises control with an output to turn on-off respective symbols at character display and language display parts is connected. To this IC6, a key input from key matrix circuit 7 is supplied via microcomputer 8. Language ROMs 9, 10 and 11 are stored with documents and words in respective languages, such as Japanese, English and German, and respective ROMs 9-11 are made into modules for free replacement. Then, ROMs 9-11 are connected to IC6 and computer 8 via address bus 12 and data bus 13 to discriminate at a glance which language is used as the native language or which language is assigned to foreign language, by the symbol display at the language display part.</p> |
