PURPOSE:To read picture information highly precisely in a short time with simple constitution by storing symmetrical combined patterns as the same pattern when input picture elements are outputted as a combined pattern of picture elements. CONSTITUTION:The output signal of input scanner 10 is converted by A/D converter 12 into a digital signal according to gradations of density and the obtained digital signal is supplied to buffer memory 14. Memory 14 receives every picture element of picture information. Information on an objective picture element is supplied to discriminating circuit 16 and its picture-element information is supplied to circuit 16 via comparing circuit 18. According to signals, classified by four stages, from circuit 18, circuit 16 reads picture information on the object picture element out of a pattern memory and supplies it to rotation circuit 22. Circuit supplies the picture-element pattern, which corresponds to the output signal of circuit 16, to circut 22. Circuit 22 rotates adequately a data matrix, suitable to the actual picture state, to output the picture-element pattern. The output signal of circuit 22 is supplied restoring circuit 24 to supply an output scanner with the output signal of circuit 24 corresponding to an output scanning line. |
