<p>A method of heat treatment of a moving lengthy article, as implemented with a device, consists in subjecting the moving lengthy article (1) to the electrocontact heating which is effected between the first electrocontact unit (19) and the middle electrocontact unit (20) initially in the open air and then in a liquid bath (7) at the rate of more than 1000 grad/sec., the heating in the open air being effected up to a temperature of the start of the steam generation process on the surface of the lengthy article when it is contacting with the liquid. Then the moving lengthy article is cooled down, the third electrocontact unit (21) being so located that the lengthy article is immersed in the liquid bath (7) during its cooling. Finally the surface of the moving lengthy article (1) a freed from the liquid by means of a draw-hole (22) mounted inside the bath (7) just in front of its outlet opening (9) under the level of the liquid bath and after the last electrocontact unit (21) and the lengthy article (1) is reeled up. </p> |
