PURPOSE:To measure the noise of a sample blower simultaneously with measurement of its performance by the constitution consisting of providing an air intake port and a diffusion port in a soundproof chamber, installing an air tank for measurement to the end thereof, and connecting the same to the flow rate control part installed in the soundproof chamber by means of through-ducts. CONSTITUTION:The noise of an auxiliary blower 18 is cut off by the outside box of a flow controlling part 13 and the wall 11 of a soundproof chamber 10, and an air tank 12 is installed in the chamber 10; therefore, the reverberation sound of a test blower 21 is eliminated. Hence, the air flow (b) from an air intake port 19 and a diffusion port 20 are silent and only the noise of the test blower 21 exists in the chamber 10. Further, since the air flow (b) is supplied into and exhausted from the chamber 10, no changes in the gaseous pressure in the chamber 10 occur. |
