PURPOSE:To obtain the titled compsn. which is suitable for the potting of electrical parts, has excellent heat resistance and can form suitable gel-like material, consisting of a specified polyorganosiloxane, a polyorganohydrogensiloxane and a platinum compd. catalyst. CONSTITUTION:A polyorganohydrogensiloxane (B) contg. an average of more than two hydrogen atoms bonded to a silicon atom per molecule, and a catalytic amount of a platinum compd. (C) such as chloroplatinic acid, are blended with a polyorganosiloxane (A) having a viscosity at 25 deg.C of 50-100,000cp and contg. an average of 0.7-1.8 vinyl groups bonded to a silicon atom per molecule and in which the remaining org. groups bonded to a silicon atom are monvalent hydrocarbon groups contg. no aliphatic unsaturated bonds, to produce the desired compsn. The component B is used in such an amount as to give 0.5-5 hydrogen atoms bonded to a silicon atom per one vinyl group bonded to a silicon atom of the component A. |
