The testing frame has a seat (5) mounted on a base (4) which pivots about a vertical axis located in front of the seat so that it passes through the centre of articulation of the tree. A foot support (15) is mounted on slides (13) which move over a curved track (12). The centre of the circle partly defined by the track lies on the pivot axis of the seat base. The foot support is mounted on the slides via a pivoting rod (14) where axis lies radially w.r.t. the arc of the track. The rotation of the rod and the pivoting of the seat base can be immobilised selectively.
